Your practice may wish to quickly identify different types of appointments when looking at your calendar overview. You will notice that appointments are color matched to the corresponding provider's calendar color.

An additional level of quick identification can be adding a symbol, or emoji, to the beginning of the appointment title. This will provide practice users a way to quickly identify the types of appointments that are scheduled for any given day.

To add an emoji to your appointment title, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into Clinical

  2. Click Settings > Appointment Types

  3. Click +Add appointment type or "edit" on an existing appointment type

  4. Right-click at the beginning of the title field, and click "Emoji & Symbols"

  5. Choose the desired emoji/symbol (you can also search for specific emojis)

  6. Click Save

Here, you will see a soccer ball added to the appointment name:

In the example below, we have used a soccer ball for sports physicals, two hands shaking for a meet and greet, and a heart for follow-ups.
