This article will go over the following three items:

1) Resetting a user's password in Veradigm when the Urgent Message about a password reset is displayed

2) Resetting a user's password in Veradigm before the Urgent Message about a password reset is displayed

3) Resetting a user's password in Veradigm when the password has expired and the provider can no longer enter into Veradigm ePrescribe at all

1) Resetting a user's password in Veradigm when the Urgent Message about a password reset is displayed

  • When a user is set up on Veradigm ePrescribe during the Account Configuration/ePrescribe set up call with Hint Customer Success, the user will establish a username and password in the Veradigm system.

  • This Veradigm password that is established does require a reset to a new password in Veradigm every 70 days. 10 days before this 70 day time period, there is a notification in Veradigm on the right-hand side of the screen (photo below)

  • The Urgent Message will display "Password Expiration Notice" and provide the expiration time of the password.

  • The user will click the "Click here to change your password" link to input the user's current Veradigm password and then create a new password.

    • The user's new password must adhere the following criteria:

      • 8 characters or more (Example: ExC$llentDoc1!)

      • Include an upper-case alphabetic character (Example: A)

      • Include an lower-case alphabetic character(Example: a)

      • Include a numeric character (Example: 3)

      • Include a symbol (Example: !)

      • The password can not be a password that was previously used in Veradigm

  • Once a user confirms their new password, the user will receive a confirmation message in green text letting them know that their password has been successfully reset!

  • Once the user's password is successfully reset, the urgent message about the password reset will no longer be listed on the right-hand side of the user's Veradigm page.

2) Resetting a user's password in Veradigm before the Urgent Message about a password reset is displayed

To reset a user's password before the urgent message is displayed in Veradigm (before the 60 day time period since the last password reset), a user can reset their password by doing one of the following two things:

  • Select "My eRx"

  • Select "Change Password"

3) Resetting a user's password in Veradigm when the password has expired and the provider can no longer enter into Veradigm ePrescribe at all

If your Veradigm password has expired already and the user can no longer enter into Veradigm, the user will need to call the following number to have Veradigm Technical Support reset the password for the user:

  • (877) 933-7274

  • Select option 1 (for working on a new case) and then select option 1 again (for a password reset)

  • The user will need their personal information (Full Name of User, Name of Practice, Personal Email for User, Personal Phone Number for User, and NPI/DEA numbers (if applicable)
