When you join Hint as a practice and have a practice fax number that you'd like to use at Hint, we will need to complete a fax port. Upon onboarding, Hint will ask you a few questions:
Does your practice have an existing business fax number?
What is your practice fax number that you would like to transfer to Hint?
Who is your provider for this practice fax number?
What is the account number with this fax provider?
Is there a PIN number associated with your practice fax number?
Please attach a copy of your latest bill/invoice from your fax provider.
Once you provide this information, Hint will be able to complete your fax port. Ports can vary in processing time, depending on the carrier you are porting away from. Average time is 7-10 business days. For continuous service on your number, do not cancel service with your provider until the port is complete. This can cause a delay in the process and only active numbers are eligible for porting.
