Q: Where does cancellation policy information from appointment types show up?
A: We aren't currently enforcing cancellation policies when a clinical user cancels an appointment. When we build patient appointment management in the patient portal, we'll be able to surface and enforce these policies. You can vote on this feature enhancement here.
Q: Can I set up an appointment type to be a "group visit" where multiple patients can book the same time slot?
A: We currently do not support group booking from a patient booking page. However, any clinical user in the practice can manually create a group visit appointment on the calendar and add the patients to the appointment.
Q: Can we configure booking links so that patients can only schedule 60-minute appointments on the half-hour mark?
A: Not currently. We do plan to support "interval" settings on appointment types in the future. You can vote on this feature enhancement here.
Q: Can I set up reminders a week or a month before the appointment?
A: Appointment reminders can only be configured to be sent 72, 48, 24, and 1 hour in advance of an appointment. We have found that these time intervals perform the best for reducing no-shows.
Q: Can I change the SMS copy for appointment reminders?
A: Unfortunately, SMS appointment reminder text cannot be customized within Hint Health. This includes adding any custom messages, such as office addresses or instructions like "Do not reply to this text." The inability to customize SMS reminders is a deliberate design choice to ensure compliance standards and reliable deliverability across each carrier. While SMS reminders are fixed, Hint Health allows some customization for email reminders. This includes adding specific details, such as the appointment location or office address, and tailoring the content to suit your practice's communication style or branding. Furthermore, if booking notification emails are enabled for a particular appointment type, location details will automatically appear in these emails, providing more flexibility compared to SMS reminders.
Q: When creating a calendar event from the calendar page, will I receive email notifications for all event types (Appointment / Meeting / Out of office)?
