What information does Hint need to migrate my Clinical data?
Which EHR is the data coming from
The date you expect to receive the CCDA export from your current EHR
Your desired go-live date with Hint (Go-Live is the date Hint becomes the source of truth for all new patient information)
How long does the migration take?
The Clinical data migration timeline varies based on several factors:
When your current EHR provides your CCDA export
When these files are shared with the Hint team
Generally, it is safe to assume that the Clinical data migration will take around ~6 weeks
Where can I find my patients’ clinical information from my previous EMR once the migration to Hint is complete?
The patient's Clinical data files will be listed in Hint Clinical > Patient Clinical Chart > Health History > Files > Double-click on the CCDA file to open the CCDA screen reader, which will display the CCDA file in a PDF-like format
Can I edit the clinical information from my previous EMR in Hint once it’s migrated over?
No, the file can not be edited once it is migrated.
When should I alert my current EMR of my request to terminate?
To minimize paying for two EMRs during the migration, this notification of cancelation/termination should occur ~40 days before your desired Hint go-live date
Will the patient history and demographics auto-populate the chart? Or live as a file on their chart?
The patient's demographic information is pulled from Hint Core > Patients and this data is migrated over during the Core migration of patient demographics
The patient's health history information will not auto-populate into the patient's Clinical chart as the Clinical migration is uploading the patient's Clinical CCDA file into the Files section of the patient's Chart. This is not linked to the patient's Health History information
Is the file searchable?
Yes, the file is searchable via Command+F (on a Mac) or Control+F (on a PC)
Will the clinical history populate into separate folders i.e. labs, notes, etc?
No, the Clinical files that are uploaded to the patient's Clinical chart do not populate into separate interactions based on the Interaction Category
What kind of file format does Hint support?
If migrating from AtlasMD, only PDFs will be uploaded
Any other EHR, only CCDA files will be uploaded
Will there be any downtime to either of my EHR accounts?
No, there is no downtime to either EHR during the migration as the provider will have (read only) access to their current EHR as well as Hint Clinical while the migration is taking place.
What is Hint responsible for migrating and what is the customer’s responsibility?
It is the client's responsibility to provide the Hint Customer Success team with the required information for the migration and verify their migration data.
It is the Hint Customer Success team's responsibility to ensure that the client has all relevant data migrated into their Hint account based on the data provided by the client
When can I receive access to my account if my Go-Live is in the future?
Once you sign the Sales Order Form and complete your Clinical Onboarding Form, you will receive login access within 2-3 business days, if not earlier
Will I have a Support representative assigned to my account?
Each client that is migrating to Hint Clinical will have a dedicated Onboarding representative who will work with you through the completion of the migration
Once the migration is complete and you are onboarded to Hint Clinical, you will collaborate with Hint Support with any questions or concerns
Can I start documenting new patients while my patient history is being migrated?
Yes, you should start having all net-new patients sign up in your Hint practice, and after these patients sign up, Clinical documentation/engagement can occur right away
