This article covers how AI Chart Summaries, AI Fax Summaries, and AI Lab Summaries organize and surface clinical information.
AI Chart Summaries
AI Chart Summaries provide a concise snapshot of a patient's health status and recent care history without requiring you to navigate through multiple sections of the chart. Each summary includes:
Active medical conditions with relevant clinical context, including associated medications, recent lab results, and vital sign trends.
Concise summaries of the patient's three most recent visits, highlighting key findings from each visit.
All referenced labs, vitals, and visit notes are linked directly from the summary. Select any item to navigate to the underlying trends, results, or encounter note. AI Chart Summaries can also be copied into visit notes to support pre-charting workflows. The generated content is formatted for editing so you can quickly refine and incorporate relevant patient context into your documentation.
How to Generate a Chart Summary
Open a patient's chart and click the Patient Summary button in the demographics section:
AI Fax Summaries
AI Fax Summaries automatically identify and display key information from inbound faxes, including:
Sending organization
Document type
Associated patient
Notable findings
Recommended next steps
How to Generate a Fax Summary
Navigate to the inbound faxes section of your account.
Select a fax to open it.
Review the generated AI Fax Summary on the right
AI Lab Summaries
AI Lab Summaries generate a concise overview of a patient's lab results, highlighting key findings, notable abnormalities, and trends that may require follow-up. The full lab report remains accessible for detailed review.
How to Generate an AI Lab Summary
Open a patient's chart and navigate to their lab results or navigate to the Communications section and select "Lab Results"
Select the option to generate an AI Lab Summary.
Review the summary for key findings, abnormalities, and any trends flagged for follow-up.
