The Hint platform has been designed so that it is easy to upload patient demographics from your existing systems, as well as bulk update patient data to reassign them to a location, provider, etc.
If updating existing patients' demographic data, download your patient list first. You will want to include patients' ID, first name, last name, and date of birth in your file to ensure the correct patients are updated and to avoid creating duplicates from your upload.
The Data Uploader automatically matches your CSV columns to the correct fields on upload. It scans the header row and the first few rows to map each column — handling typos, abbreviations like "DOB", and columns that aren't needed. This works for patient, membership, and charge uploads. Employer uploads do not support auto-matching.
