Adding an Employee/Dependent from the Employee Tab

If the employee/dependent already has a profile in your Hint account, you can follow these directions to switch them to an employer sponsored membership.

If you are adding the employee/dependent to Hint for the first time, you can follow the below:

Adding a new Employee

  1. From the 'Employee' tab, select '+ New Employee or Dependent'

  2. Fill out all the demographic information

  3. If you want to enroll the patient, select their enrollment date (Employee start dates must be on the first of the month)

  4. If you want to indicate the patient is eligible but not yet enrolled, select 'Do Not Enroll Yet'

  • You can then select 'More' to set a specific eligibility date otherwise the patient will show as always eligible

Press 'Create and Enroll Employee'

Adding a new Dependent

  1. From the employee tab, select '+ New Employee or Dependent'

  2. Fill out all the demographic information

  3. In the 'Type' field, select adult or child

  4. In the 'Dependent of' field select the employee who the dependent should be connected to

  5. If you do not want to enroll them now, uncheck the 'Enroll this dependent on date'

  • If you do not enroll them, you can select 'More' to set a specific eligibility date otherwise the patient will show as always eligible

Press 'Create and Enroll Dependent'
