What is the Feed Enroller?
Practices that serve one or several companies by providing services to their large (100 to 1000s) employee-base have found that these companies usually have an employee management system in place, an HRIS or HRMS.
Because there are many parties involved, Hint created a way for that information to be easily integrated from the Third Party Administrator or HR system directly into Hint.
With the Feed Enroller, practices can automate the enrollments, terminations and demographics updates of their employees. This means the changes in enrollment can be automatically reflected in Hint without having to login to the employer portal and manually manage eligibility updates.
- Have the company/employer who wants to use their HRIS system produce periodic files with updated eligibility and enrollment information
- This will need to be a special file, similar to the Employee Uploader, but with some key differences, so that we can ensure consistency in processing the imports (the CSV Template Hint uses is here- the HRIS system will need to produce the output in a similar format)
- You’ll need to work with the company or HRIS system and Hint to create a document that works for all parties involved.
- Once the template has been produced and agreed upon, we’ll need to have that file be updated periodically to make sure the employees enrolled on Hint are the accurate ones- this will be done by using an SFTP server.
What is the SFTP Server and how do I send files?
The SFTP Server is a secure environment where Hint receives from the partner the file containing patient information on a recurring basis in the correct form so that it can automatically populate and update Hint’s records.
In order to configure this SFTP Client, we will need to create an account with the server that your client can access. Our engineers will send you the connection information.
Hint will need your Client’s “Public Key”. You'll need to generate a key pair so that the client can be connected to Hint's server. Step by step instruction for this can be found here as well as a video here.
Once the public and private keys have been generated, you'll need to send the public key (ending in .pub) to Hint.
Finally, if SFTP is not already installed on the computer being used to upload the patient CSV file, you'll want to download a "client"- we recommend “Filezilla”. Instructions for this can be found here.
From there just log in using the private key as your identity file and drag and drop the updated CSV file to populate the Hint account.
Now that the Server is set up, with every new upload into the system Hint will update the employer roster and plan. Hint will email the parties interested in this with a list of changes with each upload.
