Hint and Akute Health work together to give direct care practices a seamless way to keep their patient records, membership details, and billing information up to date across both platforms.

Overview

The integration between Hint Health and Akute Health enables practices to streamline operations by synchronizing patient data in real time. This ensures that clinicians and administrators always have accurate, current information at their fingertips, while reducing double data entry and administrative burden.

With this integration, practices can:

  • Sync patient demographics, contact details, and provider assignments.

  • View membership plan information and status directly in Akute Health.

Be alerted to patient balances from Hint within Akute Health.

Data Sync Details

With bi-directional synchronization, patient data flows both ways—whether created in Hint Health or Akute Health, updates are reflected in both systems.

Data synced includes:

  • Demographics & Contact Information – Patient profile details including insurance information.

  • Provider Details – Assigned provider synced across both platforms.

  • Membership Plan Data – Membership plan name displayed in Akute Health.

  • Membership Status – Patients show as active or inactive.

  • Outstanding Balances – Akute Health displays alerts for balances recorded in Hint.

  • Quick Link to Hint – A credit card icon in Akute Health links directly to the patient’s Hint account.

Bi-Directional Sync

The integration automatically syncs patient data when:

  • A patient is created in Hint Health or Akute Health.

  • A patient is updated in either platform.

Integration Benefits

The integration supports workflows such as:

  • Patient Onboarding: New patients added in either system automatically appear in both, ensuring complete records.

  • Membership Management: Membership plan and status information is always accurate and visible in Akute Health.

  • Billing Awareness: Staff are immediately aware of outstanding balances in Hint when viewing a patient in Akute Health.

  • Care Coordination: Provider assignments remain consistent across both systems for continuity of care.

Configuring the Hint Akute Health integration:

  1. Login to Hint

  2. Navigate to Admin>Integrations

  3. Click ‘Other Integrations’ and select ‘Akute Health EHR’

  4. Click the blue button ‘Integrate with Akute Health EHR’

  5. You will be asked to login to Akute Health
