Hint allows you to send text messages to your patients. This support article will show you how to create and send text messages.
Sending an SMS Message
1. Navigate to the patient's chart that you would like to send a text message to.
2. In the 'Communications' widget, click '+New' and select 'SMS' from the drop-down:
3. Once in the SMS box, type the text message you'd like to send to your patient and click the send button (note, you can switch to a secure chat if desired):
Note: The patient must have a mobile phone number saved in their patient profile to send the outbound SMS message.
You can also send SMS to a patient from the Inbox section.
Navigate to Inbox > SMS, where you can read, archive, and send SMS:
Hint's SMS functionality was built with a mobile-first approach, offering more space to read messages, less scrolling, and quicker access to conversations. Providers will see the patient/contact profile photo (if available) as well as initials for faster conversation recognition.
