You can mark text messages as unread by following these steps: 

Click the inbox icon on the left side, then select 'SMS'

Click on the text message that you want to mark as 'Unread'  

Click the envelope icon to mark as unread

1. Click the inbox icon on the left side, then select 'SMS'
2. Click on the text message that you want to mark as 'Unread'  
3. Hover over the envelope icon
4. Click the envelope icon to mark as unread

Now this text message will appear unread in your SMS inbox. Screenshot below:
