Users can email a patient directly from the Patient Chart. To email a patient:
Navigate to a patient chart
In Communications click '+ Interaction' > Email
From here, you can enter:
Subject line
Email body
Select files (upload from your computer)
Select files from the cloud
The email to the patient will be sent from the practice email. The respondent will be the email located in the patient's chart.

Note:
If the patient responds to the email sent from the patient's chart, the patient's email response will not come back into the patient's chart. The patient's email response will be delivered to your practice email address.
