Please note that access to this feature requires a subscription to our Growth +. You can inquire by contacting support@hint.com.

Multiple Retail Memberships lets you offer patients more than one retail membership at the same time—perfect for layering programs like DPC + weight loss, mental health, acupuncture, and more. This unlocks flexible recurring revenue and removes the manual workarounds practices used before.

Available for Growth tier and above. You can enable the setting practice-wide under Membership Options

What’s New

With this new functionality, you can now:

  • Enroll patients in multiple retail memberships (plus one sponsored plan)

  • Set unique billing rules for each membership

  • Enroll dependents in their own memberships

  • Collect and store separate agreements per membership

  • Automatically generate one invoice per membership

  • View all active memberships across the Provider Portal, Patient Portal, Hint Clinical, and Elation

Smart billing logic also prevents duplicate enrollments and automatically applies the best available coverage when a patient has overlapping benefits.

How It Works for Your Team

Provider Portal

  • Add additional memberships right from the patient profile

  • Easily manage dependents and agreements

  • See all active memberships in one place

Billing

  • Each membership bills independently—its own date, frequency, and amount

  • All memberships currently share one default payment method

Reporting & Integrations

  • Memberships Report shows every active membership

  • Clinical integrations (Hint Clinical + Elation) now display all memberships

What Patients See

Patients can log in to their portal and view all memberships they own or participate in. They will receive one invoice per active membership.

(Self-enrollment for retail memberships is on the roadmap in 2026.)

Current Limitations

  • One sponsored membership per patient

  • Separate invoices only (no combined/prorated billing yet)

  • Limited EMR syncing (most EMRs only sync the first active membership)

  • No patient self-enrollment in v1

  • Not supported for affiliate practices and networks in v1
