To remove a patient from your Hint account:

  1. Navigate to the patient who you would like to remove

  2. If they have an active membership, end it effective today

  3. Make sure they do not have any outstanding invoices

  4. On the 'Patient' tab of their profile, click 'Edit Patient'

  5. Click 'Archive' at the bottom of their profile

Note: You cannot archive a patient in the following situations:

  • If they have an uncollected balance

  • If they have an active membership

  • If they are actively linked to a company

To archive the patient, cancel any charges or mark them as bad debt, end any memberships, and unlink any companies.

What happens when a patient is archived?

  • The patient record will be hidden from your patient list

  • The patient record will be set to read-only. Users will not be able to make changes to the patient record while it is archived

  • The patient will not be able to access their portal anymore

Can I restore an archived patient?

Yes. To restore an archived patient:

  1. Filter your patient list for Archived Patients

  2. Search for the patient's name and open their record

  3. Click 'Restore <Patient Name>'
