How to add, remove and edit users in Clinical

In Hint Clinical > Settings > Team: The Team page allows you to add, edit, and remove users from your practice.

  1. To add a new user:

    1. Click the "+ New User" button in the upper right corner

      1. Add the user's information, select a Care Provider Status, assign the user to an EMR Role, and select a Prescriber Type.

        1. Care Provider Status:

          1. Full-Time Provider: Sees patients 3 or more days a week

          2. Part-Time Provider: Sees patients less than 3 days a week

          3. Not a Provider: Does not see patients

        2. EMR Roles have different account access and abilities:

          1. Admins: can do everything in a practice including updating practice information and creating new users. They may also prescribe medication (If they are configured to do so, with their ePrescription Permissions).

          2. Providers: can do everything an admin can do except create or edit users (view this article on adding providers in Clinical).

          3. Staff: can do all a provider can do except prescribe medication (depending on the eRx configuration), add contacts, edit users, and add medications. This is where you may assign different administrative roles to employees in your practice. You may also add new employees or colleagues.

        3. Prescriber Type:

          1. Prescriber: Full prescribing access, no Supervising Physician requirement

          2. Prescribe on Behalf of (No Review Required, Non-Controlled Substances Only): Limited prescribing access, requires a Prescriber in the practice

          3. Prescribe on Behalf of (Review Required, Non-Controlled Substances Only): Limited prescribing access, requires a Prescriber in the practice

          4. Staff: This role does not have permissions to approve and send any prescriptions to a pharmacy, but may access data in Dose Spot

  2. To remove a user:

    1. Navigate to Hint Clinical > Settings > Team

    2. Click on the user you want to delete

    3. At the bottom of the page, click on "Delete User"

  3. To Edit a User:

    1. Type their name into the search bar > click into their user profile. From here you can edit their Name, Email, Cell Phone Number, Permission Role, Degree, ePrescribe Permissions (i.e. Prescriber Type, NPI Number, DEA Number, DEA Expiration Date, and you can add or remove State Licenses by clicking "+Add License")
