Preparing for your Hint calendar upgrade

Before proceeding with the new calendar upgrade, please have the following information ready:

  • Your publicly posted clinic hours of operation

  • Each clinician's working hours (hours in which patients can book appointments with the clinician, both in-person and virtually)

  • A virtual URL (per clinician) if you're seeing patients in a virtual setting:

  • If you allow patients to book appointments from your website, you will need:

    • Your practice website login credentials if you're self-managing your site

    • Your web developer's contact info if you will need their assistance updating the patient booking links on your site

Once you have the above information gathered, please click here, to begin your calendar migration. Taking time to prepare your practice will save you time and make your upgrade much easier.

FAQs

When should I upgrade my account?

We recommend giving yourself an hour or two so that you have time to look through all your new settings and configure them to your practice’s needs. This upgrade introduces a number of additional features, and we want you to get the most out of them. The best time to upgrade your account is during a block when you have no appointments scheduled for the practice. Most of our upgrades happen during the evening.

Do I need to upgrade all at once?

No. Hint Clinical will remember how far you made it through your upgrade. You can stop and continue anytime, but we recommend completing the upgrade in a single session.

What will happen after I upgrade?

When you’ve finished your upgrade, all your appointments from your old calendar will appear on your new calendar. Once your upgrade is complete, you’ll automatically see the new calendar interface and your old booking links will no longer work. Please make sure you’ve updated your website and anywhere else where you want people to book you.

How do I update my booking links if I have my login information?

If you’d like to update your own booking links on your website we encourage you to do so. Each website manager is slightly different but most customers are on one Squarespace, Wix, or Webflow so we’ve included quick guides here:

What happens if I find a problem?

You’re part of our private beta, so you can reach out to us directly with problems as they come up. The easiest way to do this is by using the chat icon in the bottom right of the screen, but you can also email us directly via support@hint.com. Both our product team and our customer success team will be monitoring the outreach and activity very closely. We keep a backup of all your appointments and will be able to help you troubleshoot as you’re getting going.
